One approval covers the EU. Registration is 27 local processes.
Type-approval is harmonised, so the certificate is the same everywhere. What changes is the office, the language, the inspection regime and the plate. These six are where we ship first — chosen for right-hand traffic, existing L-category familiarity and a dealer structure that can absorb single units.

Right-hand traffic, and a dealer network that buys in twos
Ireland, Cyprus and Malta drive on the left and need right-hand-drive vehicles — they are out until a right-hand-drive type is approved. The six above drive on the right, have established L-category registration routes, and in most cases have small dealers who order one or two units rather than a container.
Norway is not in the EU but applies EEA rules and recognises EU type-approval, which makes it the most sensible non-EU pilot. Switzerland needs its own registration step. The United Kingdom needs a separate GB approval, so it is out for now.
- Documents are the sameCertificate of conformity, invoice, customs entry, VIN photographs, EU responsible person details.
- Languages are notA file submitted in the wrong language is returned, not translated for you.
- Inspection regimes differSome markets register L7e as a quadricycle, others as a motorcycle. The plate follows.
